Coach Facilitator Training

Overview

The Mid-Atlantic United Methodist Foundation has become an educational leader addressing the growing need for advanced financial education, expansion of best practices, and refining practical skills for the development of faith based financial leaders for future ministries. The comprehensive educational approach created by the MAUMF encompasses advanced stewardship education, leadership training, and the enhancement of clergy financial literacy. Through continual innovations and refinement the MAUMF now offers effective training with demonstrated results and documented personal improvement.

Coaching for Success

Small group coaching is one unique success factor deployed by the MAUMF during our education process. In our Financial Leadership Academy, course attendees are divided into small 7-9 person cohort groups. These small groups are motivated and mentored by a skilled Coach Facilitator. These professionals assist the students in dialog and discussions during learning. The final goal is for each student to develop and deploy an effective Personal Action Plan. Through this Personal Action Plan, necessary steps are identified leading toward effective change and the realization of goals. The small group participants are continually supporting one another throughout the education process and plan implementation.

Need for Coach / Facilitators

To expand this training process to meet a growing demand, the Foundation is required to recruit, develop, and deploy additional Coach Facilitator staff. This additional staff must be highly trained to understand the essential role coaching plays in taking knowledge gained in a classroom moving to effective personal action and organizational change. For those interested, an application will be available to apply to become a Coach/Facilitator for the MAF.

The “Coach Approach Skills Training CAST 1-3” being offered will be adapted for Finance and Clergy Professionals so that participants in this course may then work as Coach Facilitators for clergy and laity improving local church finances.  Additional participants from around the country may be invited as they inquire through the Holmes Network.
