7 Ways to Make it Easier to Talk about Money in Church

Jesus talked about money all the time!  Why then, do we often find it so difficult?  A 2021 article from the Lewis Center for Church Leadership, identifies 7 practices that will make it easier to address this all-important topic.

  1. Don’t limit money talk to stewardship season.
  2. Address people’s financial reality not just the church’s needs.
  3. Focus on the spiritual significance of money.
  4. Share stories.
  5. Lead with generosity, rather than stewardship.
  6. Stay positive.
  7. Say thank you.
